General Engineer

The National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS) is part of The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), which is a science-based federal agency within the Department of Commerce. NESDIS has regulatory, operational and information service responsibilities with a presence in every state and territory. NESDIS is dedicated to providing timely access to global environmental data from satellites and other sources to promote, protect, and enhance the Nation’s economy, security, environment and quality of life.

NESDIS is seeking engineers to fill multiple positions that will help us fulfill our responsibilities, of acquiring and managing the National’s operational environmental satellites, operating NOAA’s National Climatic Data Centers, and providing data and information services including Earth system monitoring.
